Fat dissolving injections

Fat dissolving injections are designed to reduce localised areas of unwanted fat. These injections work by breaking down and dissolving fat cells, resulting in a more contoured appearance. They are typically used to target areas such as the chin (double chin), abdomen, love handles, thighs, and arms.

The primary ingredient in fat dissolving injections is usually a synthetic version of deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring bile acid in the body that helps with the digestion and absorption of dietary fats. When injected into specific areas, it disrupts the fat cell membranes, causing the release of stored fat. The body's natural metabolic processes then flush out the dissolved fat over time, leading to a gradual reduction in the treated area's fat content.

DesoBody:
Treatment Goal

DesoBody is aimed at dissolving fat in targeted areas over a series of treatments.

Active Ingredient

The main active ingredient is sodium deoxycholate (deoxycholic acid), a medical detergent that breaks down fat cells. In DesoBody, the concentration of sodium deoxycholate is 1.25%.

Procedure

Treatment involves evenly delivering the active ingredient across the targeted area in a fan-like pattern. The amount of DesoBody used depends on the size of the area(s) being treated.

Session Duration

Each session lasts around 45 minutes, with mild discomfort due to local anaesthetic used to numb the area.

Post-Treatment

Post-treatment, some redness, swelling, and possible bruising with mild to moderate pain may be experienced within the first 24-72 hours, manageable with over-the-counter pain medications like paracetamol. The body slowly metabolises and expels the released lipids from the fat cells over the following weeks.

Number of Sessions

2-4 sessions, spaced 4-8 weeks apart, are recommended for optimum results and fat reduction, depending on the area being treated.

Target Candidates

Ideal for individuals with a medium body weight (BMI), possibly slightly overweight, with localized fat deposits in specific areas like the back, stomach, hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, or knees.

DesoFace:
Treatment Goal

DesoFace is particularly aimed at treating double chins with a lower concentration of sodium deoxycholate (0.5%) compared to DesoBody.

These treatments are not designed as weight-loss solutions but rather as methods for reducing localized fat deposits and improving skin firmness in the treated areas.

Stretch Mark Treatment
Stretch Mark Treatment

Stretch marks, or striae, can occur because of sudden changes in body size due to factors like pregnancy, puberty, or rapid weight gain/loss. These linear scars in the dermis often start as pink, red or purple streaks, gradually fading to white or silver over time.

At Est-Ethics Clinic, we take a well-rounded approach to treat stretch marks, focusing not just on the aesthetic appearance but also on improving the health and texture of the affected skin.

The choice of treatment may depend on your individual circumstances, the age and severity of the stretch marks, and your personal preferences. Often, a combination of treatments might provide the best results. Our expert team at Est-Ethics Clinic will guide you in choosing the most appropriate treatment plan to address your stretch marks effectively and achieve your desired outcome.

Radiofrequency Microneedling (RF Microneedling):

RF Microneedling combines the benefits of microneedling and radio frequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production, which can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The micro-injuries created by the needles trigger the body's wound healing response, while the radio frequency energy heats the underlying layers of skin to promote tissue remodelling. This procedure can improve the skin's texture and elasticity over time, reducing the visibility of stretch marks.

Microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma):

PRP, derived from your own blood, is rich in growth factors and proteins that can promote cell regeneration and tissue repair. When combined with microneedling, PRP's healing properties are delivered directly into the affected areas, promoting collagen production and improving the skin's appearance. This treatment can be particularly effective for reducing the appearance of stretch marks, improving skin texture, and promoting an even skin tone

Hydrafacial Body:

The effectiveness of Hydrafacial Body treatment is well-known for exfoliating, hydrating, and nourishing the skin which could potentially help in improving the appearance of stretch marks over time.
