Acne is a complex problem that can have multiple underlying causes from hormonal imbalances to bacteria on our skin. Acne and associated scarring can significantly impact self-confidence and overall well-being. An in-depth consultation is the first step towards effectively addressing these concerns.

Our goal is to craft a personalised diagnostic and treatment plan that aligns with your aspirations while promoting skin health.

Our expertise involves a wide range of proven treatments, from advanced light therapies to hormone checks, and medical-grade skincare.

Radiofrequency Microneedling

The treatment works with tiny pins that safely deliver energy (via NanoFractional RF™) through the skin’s surface. The pins create tiny micro-dermal wounds, which the body then works to heal naturally. This process is what repairs signs of skin damage seen on the surface of the skin. NFRF treatment safely corrects signs of skin damage, which improves the appearance of scars, visible pores, deep wrinkles, stretch marks, and uneven skin texture.

IPL AC Dual Acne Treatment

IPL is a non-invasive procedure that uses intense pulses of light. This light a specific wavelength that targets the bacteria that cause acne as well as the sebaceous glands in the skin that produce excess oil. By destroying the bacteria and the oil secreting glands, IPL effectively can stop a breakout, reduce frequency and magnitude of the breakouts, and sometimes even stop it all together.

Treatment is applied twice daily for 4 weeks and is often used as the first step in our combination acne management plans together with Dermalux LED and medical grade skincare.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Skin Rejuvenation channels controlled bursts of light into the upper skin layers. The light is absorbed by two vital components: melanin, the pigment that lends your skin its colour, and haemoglobin, the protein carrying iron in your blood.

By carefully calibrating the light energy, IPL targets and disintegrates the melanin and haemoglobin without affecting the surrounding tissues. This gentle yet effective mechanism of action yields a host of benefits including diminishing sun spots, age spots, and redness, and thread-veins leaving you with a more even-toned and revitalised complexion.

Hormone check

Hormones play a pivotal role in skin health, and their imbalance can often manifest as persistent acne. Hormone Blood Tests are instrumental in identifying the underlying hormonal imbalances contributing to acne, enabling a targeted and effective treatment plan.

Some conditions associated with hormonal imbalance that often leads to acne are:

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):

A common hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age, PCOS is characterized by elevated levels of androgens (male hormones) which can lead to severe acne, among other symptoms.

Hyperandrogenism:

This condition is characterized by excessive levels of androgens which can result in acne, hair loss, and hirsutism (excessive hair growth in areas where men typically grow hair).

Insulin Resistance:

While not a hormonal imbalance per se, insulin resistance can lead to higher insulin levels, which in turn may stimulate androgen production and potentially contribute to acne development.

Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism:

Imbalances in thyroid hormone levels can also affect the skin and might contribute to acne.

Microneedling with PRP

Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a dual treatment that harnesses the natural healing power of your own blood along with the rejuvenating effects of microneedling.

During this procedure, a blood sample is drawn and spun down to extract the platelet-rich plasma, a component filled with growth factors and nutrients from your own body. This PRP is then reintroduced into your skin via microneedling, a process where tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin, stimulating the body's natural healing processes.

The fusion of PRP with microneedling significantly amplifies the treatment's ability to reduce fine lines, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and improve the overall texture of your skin.

As the microneedles penetrate the skin, they create micro-wounds that trigger the body's healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production. Simultaneously, the PRP delivers a concentration of growth factors that further accelerate the healing and rejuvenation process.

Skin Peels

Skin Peels are an effective method of exfoliating the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting new cell growth. At Est-Ethics Clinic, we offer a variety of skin peels tailored to your specific skin needs.

The ZO Stimulator Peel is gentle on the skin yet delivers profound results, making it ideal for those new to skin peels or with sensitive skin. It helps to smooth away fine lines, improve acne skin conditions and address uneven pigmentation, unveiling a fresher, clearer complexion.

On the other hand, the SkinCeuticals Gel Peels in 20% and 30% formulations offer a more intensive treatment, suitable for those with resilient skin or more pronounced skin concerns. These peels are meticulously formulated to minimize the appearance of surface lines, smooth out rough skin texture, aid in clearing acne, and help fade hyperpigmentation.

Skin peels can be exceptionally beneficial when integrated into a broader skin care regimen. They prepare the skin to absorb other topical treatments more effectively and can be a precursor to other aesthetic procedures, amplifying the results of your personalized treatment plan
